Today I woke up to a nice wind and rain storm, which continued throughout the day. I decided that meant I should spend the day indoors, and therefore immediately thought of Harrods. Harrods is home to over one million square feet of selling space and over 330 departments! Naturally, this makes it the largest store in the UK, and one of the biggest in the world. One of the things Harrods is most famous for are the exquisite food halls. They are absolutely amazing!Harrods is most famous for their food halls. They have a room that is just lined with chocolate! This is not real fruit, it's chocolate too!More food! If you follow this path, you'll find yourself enjoying the best gelato in London!
Harrods is known for having absolutely anything! If I really wanted to, I could purchase a garden from the roof of Harrods. A few years back, a man came in to Harrods, and put them to the test. He asked if he could buy an elephant from the store. The employer asked him to hold on for a moment and within minutes the store was making arrangements to purchase an elephant, so they in turn could sell it to the man...and they did! If you ask Harrods for something and they don't have it in the store, they'll get it!I love rainy days! There is a famous Egyptian room in Harrods that is on the first floor. One flight down is a memorial to Princess Diana, which has her engagement ring on display along with the last glass she drank from.
Harrods motto: Omnia Omnibus Ubique —- All Things for All People, Everywhere.
